Throwster Silk Waste

Hand dyed in my Kitchen in small batches 

This incredible Fibre is a combination of silk throwster, silk fibres, hand dyed natural silk, and bits of mulberry silk 

De-gummed comes in a soft tangle of fibres.  Produced by the silk worm, the servicing (gum) which it produces to stick to the silk has been removed 

Used for wet felting, making silken cobwebs in your craft, addition to spinning fibres for texture and interest. I personally weave woth it as well
